In the "Portfolio" widget, it is also possible to map short positions. To do this, simply enter a negative number of units when purchasing. There is no restriction to certain asset classes. Short futures positions as well as, for example, short sales with shares can therefore be mapped.
If you have opened a short position, you can only specify further negative (but no positive) numbers of unit when buying to add and also only sell negative unit numbers when selling. This means that closing out a short position is not achieved by buying a long position, but by selling the short position.
In the postings in the "Account" views and "Closed positions", purchases and sales of short positions are also shown and any resulting profits or losses are correctly netted.
