Quanto |
Shows if the certificate is a quanto certificate. With quanto certificates, the currency risk is eliminated if you speculate on an underlying asset quoted in a foreign currency. In order to be independent of the foreign currency, a fixed exchange rate to the foreign currency is set at the beginning of the term. This exchange rate is used to calculate the intrinsic value at the end of the term. The amount paid out at the end of the term therefore only depends on the price of the underlying asset. |
