Trading Signals

The "Trading Signals" widget displays trading signals (long/short) generated for securities from the chart analysis.

In addition to individual securities, index participants or all securities of a watchlist or a portfolio can be selected.

The following drop-down lists are available in the upper area:

Input type

Select the input type for the analysis of the trading signals here. The following types are available here for selection for the securities included:

  • All
  • Index
  • Security
  • Portfolio
  • Watchlist
SecuritySelect the security for the analysis of the trading signals here.
Signal category

Select the relevant signal type from the drop-down list. The following categories are available:

  • Chart signal
    All generated signals are displayed.
  • Bollinger Bands
    Only the signals generated by the "Bollinger Bands" indicator are displayed.
  • Candlesticks
    Only the signals generated by the candlesticks analysis are displayed.
  • Oscillators
    Only the signals generated by oscillators (such as Momentum, Slow Stochastic, ...) are displayed.
  • Intersections
    Only the signals generated by intersections (such as "Price line crosses MA 100" or "Price line crosses MA 38") are displayed.
  • Trend analysis
    Only the signals generated by Trend analysis indicators( for example Aroon) are displayed.
  • Trend followers
    Only the signals generated by oscillators (for example, MACD, CCI, ...) are displayed.
Signal type

Select the relevant signal type from the drop-down list. The following types are available for selection depending on the signal category:

Chart signal:

  • - (all, default setting)

Bollinger Bands, Oscillators, Intersections, Trend followers:

  • All (signal type, default setting)
  • Long
  • Short

Candlesticks:

  • All (signal type, default setting)
  • Bearish
  • Bullish

Trend setter:

  • All (signal type, default setting)
  • Trend phase
  • Sideways phase
Period

Select the relevant period for the analysis from this drop-down list. The following periods are available:

  • All (default setting)
  • Last trading day
  • Last 5 days
  • Last month
  • Volatility 3 months

The trading signals displayed in this widget are based on the closing prices of the securities. The indicators underlying the analysis are predefined in their respective parameter settings and cannot be changed by the user.

For the securities selected above, the table then shows the following columns:

Row menu icon

By using the familiar menu icon in each row, you can call up further functions for each security - as you are used to from other widgets.
WKNThe WKN of the security.
ISINThe ISIN of the security.
NameThe name of the security.
Current priceThe most up-to-date price of the security.
DateThe date or time of the current price of the security.
Signal type

The respective signal type.

A list of the possible signal types for the individual categories can be found in the table above.

Signal triggerThe triggering event in the chart.
TimeThe date of the signal generation.
% since signalThe percentage change in the price since the signal was generated.

In the Widget Gallery, you find the "Trading Signals" widget in the "Defaults" section of shares.
