An outperformance certificate is a structured financial product. Above a certain underlying price, the certificate allows you to participate disproportionally (leveraged) in price developments of an underlying instrument. Underlying instruments of outperformance certificates are usually equities or indices.

Certificate type

The certificate type.

The type is used to categorise outperformance certificates more precisely, for example, "Outperformance Classic" or "Sprint Classic".

Factor

The factor of the outperformance certificate.

The (participation) factor is the percentage by which the holder profits from price increases of the underlying instrument.

Strike

The exercise price of the outperformance certificate.

Cap

The cap of the (sprint) certificate.

Spectrum

The spectrum of the (sprint) certificate: "above" or "below".
