Import watchlist

You can import appropriately formatted CSV files (for example, watchlists previously exported in this format) as watchlists. When importing, you can decide whether you want to create a new watchlist based on the imported data or add the securities to an existing watchlist.

Import CSV file as new watchlist

To export a CSV file as a new watchlist:

  1. Go the "Watchlist" widget.
  2. Then select the "CSV" button in the "Import" area of the widget menu.
This opens the "Import CSV" dialogue window.
  3. Select a CSV file by using the "Select file" button or drag and drop it into the "Drop file here" input field.

If there are securities with outdated prices in the securities to be imported, then you can - analogous to the function in the general search - also import the securities ignored by default during the import without a current price via the checkbox "Include securities without first price or with outdated prices".

Information appears in the dialogue window after the successful upload has been completed.

  4. Then click the now enabled "Continue" button.
The uploaded data is displayed in the dialogue window in the "Imported data" area.

By default, the import into a new watchlist is now suggested, therefore the "New watchlist" checkbox is selected. Enter the corresponding name of the new watchlist in the "Name of watchlist" input field. Click the "Create new watchlist" button.
This closes the "Import CSV" dialogue window and creates the watchlist under the selected name, which can now be selected.

In addition to INSTRUMENTID or SYMBOL and the ISIN, the WKN in CSV files is also recognised as an alternative symbol. The values for CURRENCY and EXCHANGE or MIC (trading venue) are also imported.

If you have saved notes in the watchlist, these will also be imported.

Add CSV file to existing watchlist

To add a CSV file to an existing watchlist:

  1. Open a "Watchlist" widget with the watchlist to be expanded.
  2. Proceed in the same way as described above (steps 2-4).
  3. Then clear the "New watchlist" checkbox when displaying the imported data and select the now visible "Add to watchlist" button.

This closes the "Import CSV" dialogue window and the securities are added to the currently open watchlist.
