Settings in the "Watchlist" widget

Use the "Widget settings" icon to open the "Settings" dialogue window for configuring the widget.

Alternatively, you can use the "Settings" command in the widget menu.

In the "Watchlist settings" dialogue window, you can first select the area on the left side for which you want to configure your settings:

Note that not all settings described below are possible for globally available watchlists, for example, the configuration of free-text columns.

"General" area

In the "General" area, you can make the following settings:

Here, you can use the "enabled" checkbox to enable or disable the push data feed.

Sort interval (only for table views)

If necessary, select the time interval for updating the table sorting in the widget here. The following periods are available:

  • Inactive (default setting)
  • 5 seconds
  • 15 seconds
  • 30 seconds
  • 45 seconds
  • 60 seconds
Clear filter on list changeDeselect this default setting to keep filter conditions when switching to another list.

"Default columns" area

In the "Default columns" area, select the table columns you want to display in the overview table in the watchlist. Hide the less important columns.

You can add columns from the "All Fields" widget by drag & drop and also delete them from the watchlist. Columns added from the "All fields" widget are indicated by the "Delete" icon next to the column name:

Click the "Delete" icon to mark the columns for deletion. To confirm the deletion, click the "Save changes" buttons. This deletes the added columns from the watchlist.

"Free text columns" area

In this area, you can configure individual columns for the overview table of the watchlist.

To do this, follow these steps:

  1. On the left side of the "Watchlist settings" dialogue window, select the "Free text columns" area.
  2. Click the "Add column" button.
  3. In the "Name" input field, enter a name for the column header of the first custom column.
  4. Then click the "Settings" button for this column.
  5. Configure the new column. The table below contains descriptions of the individual setting options.
  6. Then click the "Save" button. (Use the "Back" button to close the settings of the free text column without saving any changes you may have made.)
  7. If you want to add more columns, click the "Add column" button in the "Free text columns" area and proceed in the same way.
    You can delete your custom columns by using the corresponding "Delete" button.

The settings of the custom free text columns in detail:

General settings

NameEnter a meaningful name for the free text column.
TooltipEnter a descriptive tooltip. This is displayed when you point to the column header with the mouse.
Configuration

Column width

Enter the column width in pixel.

The default setting is "200".

Column view

Select the view type for the column:

  • Text (default setting)
    This setting displays the text in the column.
  • Icon
    With this setting, the "Note" icon is displayed in the column, and the text is only displayed when you point to it with the mouse.

Example: Watchlist with two free text columns

In this example, the "Test1" column is of the "Text" type and has a width of "100", the "Test2" column is of the "Icon" type and has a width of "50". To edit the texts, click on them and make your changes in the text window that appears. If you point the mouse to the cell, a delete icon will also appear, allowing you to quickly remove the text.

"Performance columns" area

All details about showing performance columns are described in Settings in the "Portfolio" widget.

Settings for "Chart Gallery" view

In the "Chart Gallery" area, you can make the following settings:

Show details

Select this checkbox to display more details in the individual charts of the Chart Gallery. The following data is shown:

  • Security name
  • ISIN
  • WKN
  • Trading venue
Start dateUse the integrated calendar to specify the start date.
End dateUse the integrated calendar to specify the corresponding end date.

Settings for additional views of the watchlist

You have various setting options depending on the view selected (for example, "Correlation Matrix") in the widget. If, for example, you have opened a watchlist in the "Gainers & Losers" view, you can also define the number of securities to be displayed here.
